The No Bully System is proven to work
A 2010 study shows that Solution Teams® resolve bullying 80% of the time. A 2009-2010 independent research study in San Francisco Bay Area schools found that No Bully-trained educators who used Solution Teams® to resolve incidents of student bullying achieved an 80% success rate. As the chart shows, this held true three months later. This high level of success makes Solution Team® one of the most promising strategies available for ending student bullying. Dr. Alyssa Steiger conducted the study and reported her findings in her doctoral thesis in 2010.

A 2012 evaluation gives No Bully high points for the quality of its trainings and reveals Solution Teams succeed in 88% of cases. In 2011, all the major school districts in Marin County, California, were trained in the No Bully System thanks to a grant from the Lynx Foundation. This included 32 schools and 108 educators. An independent evaluator, Dr. Moira DeNike, found that participants consistently rated the relevance, clarity, trainer responsiveness and likelihood of recommending the Advanced Solutions Training at 9 out of 10 (on a scale where 0 meant not at all and 10 meant very much). At the end of the school year, trainees reported that their Solution Teams® had achieved improvement or complete success in ending bullying in 88% of cases.

Many participants expressed appreciation to have an alternative to punishment that is empowering, empathy-focused, and student-centered:
"I think Solution Team® is effective because it is a non-traditional approach to deal with bullying that does not aim to demonize the bully but rather get both sides of the situation to get a more whole and complete view of the situation." (Lower Brookside)
"I've seen Solution Team® build empathy and, even more so, awareness for the person being complained about since they didn't seem to have a full idea of their actions' results before the Solution Team®." (San Ramon Elementary)
"Solution Team® gives students the power, confidence and empathy to treat all people with respect and kindness; shows students they don't have to rely solely on adults to solve their problems." [San Jose Middle School]
"[Solution Team® is very effective because] it's a positive non-punitive way to resolve problems. Not the traditional discipline model." (San Rafael Elementary School)
